Well I test rode the Street Triple this morning and these are my thoughts:
It's small! Makes my Hornet look really long and big (ooer)! Lovely and compact little machine and very smart looking. I do love nakeds though. Suspension is very, very capable and makes my Hornet feel like a pregnant whale (well after 22'000 miles it has gone a bit soft). Tips in so easily and can really handle a LOT of corner speed without so much as a wobble. Flicking from one direction to another is incredibly quick, so quick that I almost was turning direction too early! The seat height was perfect (800mm) making kneedowns really easy as well as peg scraping (sorry Bulldog Triumph) ![]() Overall this bike is sublime as well as being an absolute bargain. Brilliant hooligan tool, commuter or weekend blast bike. Gets my vote! ![]() |

Nice... I'm sure people will find this useful.
I think at a good price this will kill the SV market... there will still people who buy the SV as its a budget bike. But those that like the SV and want a bit more, like USD's and stuff should really think about it. Last edited by Grinch; 09-02-08 at 04:30 PM. |

That 675 engine ... lovely lump. Can definately see it's going to be a winner.
SV still wins on price though, and more than likely insurance prices.

True, but you get what you pay for. The Trumpet is better than SV the in every way and less than a grand more. Bargain.

There is that, I'm not in a position to buy a new bike, but give it a few years and I could be tempted into a 2nd hand one. If I like it more than the 955i, which I don't yet, but it could grow on me

If there's been a Street Triple when I got the SV, I wouldn't have got the SV
