Default Does an Easy Clutch exist?

Hi All,
I'm new to Suzuki, don't have one yet, but am looking at a 2006 sv650 that is lowered and the seat shaved-seems perfect for me, but I need to find out some things before buying: does a thing called an "Easy Clutch" exist? I've been told about it from two sources, but haven't been able to find one for anything other than a Harley. If not an "easy clutch" then what do you recommend to make the clutch lever easier? Standard, normal clutch levers that everyone uses are painful for me.

Thanks

Whats wrong with your hand?

I broke a load of carpal bones last year so traffic is a total git for me, and I have to make sure my clutch is in spot on condition. Other than that it's fine.

You can adjust the mechanism so only maybe 2inch of travel is needed on the lever, or there have been hydraulic conversions done.

Thanks for the welcome...

What's wrong with my hand? Neural tension from the shoulder going down to the hand. I could bore you with the details, but won't.

I think the '06 sv 650 is my next bike, though. I'll have to toughen up if I'm going to ride anything at all.

Still wondering if there is such a thing as an Easy Clutch. Thanks for your input.

Well the factor is leverage, there's a few ways to do it, one is by bodging in a hydraulic clutch from another bike, this is a possibility which I believe has been done.

Another is to increase the leverage, this can be done with a longer lever, or longer arm on the worm drive. You could possibly get away with 20% increase at the worm drive. Which would decrease clutch force needed by 20% too.

You could also use weaker clutch springs, but this might slip.

It can be done, it's just there's several ways.

Edit: see ere

Could probably build a hydraulic conversion, would be a laugh. It's just finding out what the required movement is to disengage the clutch. Hmmmm.

I second trying NABD - National Association for Bikers with Disabilities.

http://www.nabd.org.uk/

Was at their Trike day a month or so ago - saw a Busa that was triked and used a clicktronic single button gear change - well the owner/rider didnt have any legs you see.....

I am sure there will be something on their website.
