Default light problem.

hey all, iv'e a problem with my head lights. when i turn on the ignition they don't come on, but when i flick the high beam switch that works fine and the side lights are fine too. i should say i know very little about electrics but iv'e checked the obvious, fuses, wire connections, and bulbs are all fine.

Does anybody have any ideas.

Are you sure the low beam elements are ok in the bulbs i've had the low beams go before. Have you tried new bulds?

Have you looked inside the switch itself just to make sure everything is as it should be??

other than that not sure, wiring diagram might help you and a tester but duno how to do that kind of stuff.

Have a look at the connector blocks. Especially the one on the left hand side midway between the headstock and rider seat. You'll need to lift the tank to gain access. There is a possibility corrosion is either causing a short or an bad connection.

check the relay as-well as low and high beam are served by two different relays.
