On the last couple of long rideouts ive been on, once each time in a left hander my toe came in contact witht he ground. I had to straighten up abit so i could avoid not potentially busting my boots
Any ideas on foot positioning? must be doing something wrong maybe Draper |

Are the balls of your feet on the pegs?
If not, try that. If they are already, consider the following two options: - Adjustable rearsets, - Ride slower. ![]() |

You don't say how you currently position your foot. IMHO you should have the balls of your feet (i.e. bit just behind the toe) on the footpegs except when operating the foot controls.

Have you got the balls of your feet on the pegs or are they splaying out like flippers?
edit: hahaha, three in one! |

Often due to penguin/commuter feet syndrome.
Where you ride with the sole of your feet on the pegs rather that the balls of your feet. I used to do it until i started wrecking my boots. It can look abit silly from behind too. To be fair though if I'm going for it abit I put my toes right to the edge of the pegs anyway so that they touch down before the pegs do which bothers me more than wrecking boots. |

i think my foot goes whereever it decides and depending on how uncomfortable my shin muscles get (that could be due to not having my balls so to speak on the peg, but i get muscular pain in my shins when even walking sometimes)
i shall make an effort to move the balls onto the pegs on these wonderful welsh twisties cheers, Draper |

Just in case no one has said this already...
Ride with the front of your foot on the peg instead of the middle. ![]() |

Screws up my cornering. Should really do summit about it I know, but too busy having fun. ![]() Also had got into the bad habit on the GSX14 of having a wee feel with my toes on slow speed stuff ie roundabouts, to see how much further I need to go to "chaff me pegs." Now running 30mm of jack-up though and it feels like a big trailie! Chaff No More. Spreads your weight better too, riding on yer balls, ahem, so to speak. ![]() |
