Last night whilst picking my daughter up, we were waiting to cross the road at a sort of T junction, when I hear a hair-drier approaching. So I stop and wait.
To my amazement some little pr1ck comes flying round the corner with his visor up and holding a mobile phone to his lid and talking whilst trying to drive with one hand (very wobbly)!!! I was speechless................what a ****! Then this morning I saw a cabbie reading The Sun whilst doing about 40Mph on the A2, are you kidding me mate....... WHERE ARE THE POLICE? |

We don't need traffic police anymore, Speed Cameras, sorry 'Safety Cameras' are there instead now.........

But there aren't any 'Cabbie reading the Sun' cameras installed on the A2 in that part just yet?

Sounds like the crazy scooter riders in Rome with their phone wedged up into their openfaced lid and smoking whilst riding.

Then again they ride side saddle on the pillion and don't seem to have the need for lids.
Is it a Mediterranean mentality or do the police not care? |

I still fondly remember the sight of a chap on a moped riding through Trafalgar Square before they pedestrianised it.
Moped, Suit, no gloves, open faced lid and......... A golf umbrella open to keep the rain off him!! ![]() ![]() |

I agree that it is very annoying when you see people in cars on their mobiles etc when they don't move out the way for you or whatever, but it has to be said that wherever I've travelled, other countries are worse. Doesn't make it right but when you see whole families on scooters in India wearing shorts, with the Dad weaving in and out of traffic, it makes you realise how prudent English drivers are. So long as they don't cause an accident or get in my way I don't really mind,
Just my opinion |

Didn't have a motor but still very dangerous. I was out with a meal with my family and as we were walking out of the restaurant there was a man on the other side of the road cycling, on the road, with a phone and cigarette in one hand and a can of strongbow in the other wobbling all over the place!!

I see the kids going around on theirs with their feet in a funny position, trying to look like they're on a proper bike I'm assuming. Makes me laugh, it can't be comfortable!
