Default slippy seat

well basically i find the seat slippery and not grippy at all

what can i do to make it more grippy

i take it thats its the riders seat your talking about? has it been used much? i find my seat no problem the only thing i could think of maby you have a well wore seat?

Don't polish it. Wash it with water only and don't put any other cleaning products on it.

Are you wearing leathers or textiles or jeans? It will make a difference what you wear.

yeah iam talking about riders seat, no its only done 4k miles

and i wear textiles

if i accelerate hard i sometimes slip back lol if iam not gripping the seat and its a bit weird when you try to pop a wee wheelie lol

have you got a leather / soft plastic patch on the bum of your textiles? If not, get one put on!

as for the seat, give it a wash with some soapy water incase there's polish and what-not on there

Cleaned my bike t'other day, and put some cleaner on the seat coz it was lookin a bit like me (dull ) What a mistaka to maka, slippin all over t'bloody place i was. Neadless to say i washed it with soapy water and a nail brush it's all fine now!! back to its grippy best

yep, have the same problem with my corbin seat. I solved the issue by getting some rubber webb stuff( the thing you put under your panniers to save your plastics) It sticks your bum like glue to the seat and doesn't budge if you poke it underneath. looks a bit ratty but it does the job, and its actually lessening the slip now. HTH

i Mr Sheened my seat once bad thing to do, just a soap wash with a sponge is enuf and keeps it grippy.

I don't wash the seat, the OEM gel seat on the other bike.........it soaks up water and you get a wet bum...lol
