Default New gloves - problems

Hello,
I've bought myself a pair of Hein Gericke gore tex gloves, but I don't know whether there is something wrong with them or is it me??
I was using Alpinestar- drystar for the past year and they are ok, but a bit too thick for the summer. My normal size is small ( 8 ), and:
- the first pair of HG's was XS and as it turned out, way too small. As a matter of fact, the left hand was killing me on the bike (strangely the right hand wasn't as bad)... so I went and had them exchanged...
- we couldn't find small ones, so I've tried the mediums on and they felt ok... However now, after a few miles I have to say that, the right hand glove feels loose, my right wrist hurts after a few miles of twisties, the left hand feels quite ok.
So what is going on??
Are gloves manufactured so that the left hand is smaller than the right??
Or is it just me?? Or is it so hard to get used to leather glovers after a year in textile ones?
What do you think???
Cheers

Leather gloves always seem to me to take a couple of rides before they soften up and bed into the shape of my hands.

But if yours is loose on your hand then I'd say you have the wrong size again. Whats it like under the palms are the tight or are they bunched up where theres to much material.

you could have one hand slightly bigger / smaller than the other, dont be upset though cos your in some esteemed company other little handers include napoleon and jeremy beadle! ps. my dainese gloves took ages to stretch and shape to my hands but its worth it in the long run cos they are perfect now!
