Hi. Let us know how it goes. Myself and Sandman are doing our first track day at Snetterton at the end of the month.

Unfortunately I won't be , but I did do an evening last summer. We (the novice group) had the only dry session. The rest of the evening went from wet to very wet. Several crashes, and I ended up in the gravel trap at the end of the pit straight. Managed to keep it up though (!) turned around and rejoined as if nothing had happened - phew, costly repairs and a long.
walk home avoided
Have a great time, but remember to settle in to it gradually. You can always go back another day

Shame nobody else from on here was there - i was billy no mates most of the day lol.

Still i had a great time, it was forecast for rain, but it was hot and sunny all day long. This was my second day at Snett and my right hand chicken strip has halved in size again. now less than 1cm

FG1, hope you have a great day too. I'm not really in a position to give advice as i've only been riding 18 months and done 2 track days, but i would say it is worth taking it really easy for the first couple of sessions. Just concentrate on the lines rather than speed and brake nice and early. Once you can do a lap of the circuit in your head, then u can can concentrate on picking up the speed and gradually extending your braking points. I started braking before the no 3 marker after both straights and by the end of the afternoon i was feeling confident enough to hammer it down to between 2 and 1.

Lets know how you get on.
