Question Oil in airbox

I tried to get a photo of it, this is the best of them.

The oil is clean and has collected in the ridges of the airbox.

Is this good/bad/normal/time to panic?

The pic shows the front carb with the front of the bike at the bottom of the pic.

This is no help at all Paul but I've seen that somewhere before oh here I think. That's weird. It's a bleedin shame you can't search for oil in the threads. Gotta be hot vapourised oil getting through and condensing in the airbox but doesn't the airbox go straight to the inlet manifold and onto the carbs? (Don't know where all that came from). Is there an oil breather?

Yep, a little is fine... puddles normally mean's you've put to much oil in.

It means your bike is about to expire in a massive cloud of smoke and flames.

I'm lying of course. It's oil being blown up the crank breather hoses. Perfectly normal

Looks normal, any more than that would be a problem!

Why do they do it?

Is it one of those "character traits"?
