Default Foggy Breath Guard/ Fog Mask - arghh!

Bought one today due to constant misting of visor. Know all the tips re fairy liquid etc but wanted a solution that would last and look good at the same time.

Tried it before and all was going well till i tried to take my lid off. It was stuck due to Foggy Mask and needed a painful yank to remove it. Have gouged my forehead with the nose guard too. Generally not convinced at all by it - anyone else had these problems? Lid is HJC

I use one in my Arai, absolutely love it and never had a misting visor since (I commute all year round on my bikes). What you need to do is pinch the part around the top of your nose and pull it forward and away from you as you remove the helmet!

the nose clip thing looks broken actually - isn't glued to the mask and is pivoting when I take it off. Back to the shop.....

Its sort of rivetted at either end only and can move like you said so that people can adjust it to suit the shape of there nose.

I absolutely hated it when I got one (actually, I think I may still have it so a "free to good home" thread may be started soon)

Didn't have a problem getting the lid on and off but the guard itself was terrible. All it managed to do was direct a high pressure jet of wind under my specs and straight into my eyes.

I had the same problems and got rid of it for that reason. Plus it made me feel a bit claustrofobic.

I remember when I first had mine I looked like someone had thown a cat at my face when I took my lid off

But all it take is a little practice... You need to open your visor and get you fingers in and pull it away from your face a little as you lift of your lid, and all will be well Unless you've broken it!

Edit: wot dave said!
