Default Ageing gracefully...

Hi there,

After spending 3-4 hrs giving my pride and joy a thorough clean, I thought it would be good to take it for a photo shoot and share it with my fellow SV'ers. My bike was already featured on the front page of the site back in 2004... I was sooo proud!!

Since I took those pictures (in Gallery #37) I have made a few changes - here goes a summary:

- Wheels: Dymag
- Forks: Suzuki GSXR1000R with silver anodised uppers
- Front Brakes: PVM monobloc 4-piston radial calipers, AP Racing radial master-cylinder, flip-up lever.
- Rear brake: AP Racing caliper, Spondon caliper bracket and torque arm, wavey floating disc, Spondon disc carrier, Discacciati master cyclinder, Rizoma reservoir.
- Various: Indiglo instrument faces, bar-ends, Titanium bolts, carbon fender, etc...

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the view...

Ride safe,

Lorenzo.

Looking good!

Have you upgraded the rear shock aswell? If so, whats in there?

Matt

Hi,

Thanks for the comments. The forks are GSXR1000R MY 2004 annodised in silver (were gold originally ), so I can't comment on how later models will fit. The mods to adapt these forks have been documented extensively in this forum, but as far as I can remember, I needed new wheel spacers, brake disks to be spaced out (as I still used my SV 650 Dymag wheel) and a custom bracket steering lock-stop. Essentially I didn't do the job myself, so unfortunately I can't really provide much detail...

The rear shock is an Ohlins unit with a remote reservoir.

Cheers,

L.
