Default Buells

Anyone got any experiance with them??

After seeing a couple parked near my house recently looking nice, they sound great aswell. Remember reading that they destroy twisties for fun. Sounds like a good bike, what are the draw backs?? (dont say harley engines because they sound scchhhweeeeet!! )

Great little TOWN bikes.

Terrible for the open roads.

80+ expect serious wind in your face.

About as fast as an SV650, no faster mid range, slower top end.

Fantastic engineering (oil in rear swinging arm etc), but certainly an A-B town bike opposed to a weekend thrasher.

From an SV to one, i think you would get bored quickly. My friends one lasted him about 8 months before he changed it after getting bored.

Terrible fuel range too.

Which ones?

I know one feller who has one and loves it, it's fairly well tuned up though. (about 60bhp up on stock)

Wouldn't worry about wind blast, you soon get used to it.

they are supposed to corner and change direction like the proverbial. dont think reliability is any worse than 'prillas but they are a bit plasticky in the switch gear area.

the engineering is awesome! mass centralisation before honda san even got out of bed!

Harley Engines... Thay are TERRABLE for reliability! Dont believe anything else!

I know 3 people who have had them all 3 had them in the garage with Engine problems in the first month. One had the gear box cease!

Aprilia's arnt unreliable! Dont confuse them with Ducati's... Rotax engine = Bomb proof.

Nope, worse than Aprillia's (engine wise that is).

The big H brought it to the attention of the world and everybody has followed since (mass centralisation was the rave with the RC211V but it had been around a while before that with Honda).
