Andrea Pininfarina killed in a road accident

If you know anything about cars you'll know the name...

Andrea Pininfarina, head of a world-famous Italian car design group, has been killed in a road accident.

Mr Pininfarina was riding a scooter which was hit by a car on the outskirts of Turin early on Thursday. He was 51.

He was chief executive officer of the family firm Pininfarina, which has designed sports cars for Ferrari, Maserati, Volvo and Fiat.

Sad news, been into cars longer than bikes so very familiar with the great man's work.

as mentioned on another forum i frequent, would be more ironic if it had been a car his company designed, as opposed to one of the french ones with a bulbous nose designed for pedestrian safety...

Reminds me of the head of Fiat's response when asked how to reduce the death toll on the roads.
