Default Exhaust,front downpipe clamp.

Hi,
The front exhaust pipe clamp fractured when I was attempting to loosen the bolt. The actual clamp appears to be spot welded to the main exhaust system, Any ideas on how I can recover from this, er, mishap?
Cheers,
John

ooops! K1 naked, all standard.

erm if its the one I think it is, soften the rust thats welded it on with WD40 and it'll pull off eventually. Then autosol and wire wool should lift off the rest of the corrosion thats built underneath

Cut it off with a hacksaw(spot weld)....bend the two free ends upwards. This should allow you to cut at the spot weld cleanly.

What you need is a 43mm-47mm stainless steel exhaust clamp....cost about about £5-£6 on average.

John, you can get them from Here or search for exhaust clamp or motorcyle exahaust clamp on Ebay. Should be able to find some for no more than £6 delivered

A16 possibly be the best bet if you don't like Ebay much. Last one I bought was from Ebay but cost me about £5.50
