Default DZR400 questions...

In my continuing efforts to find another bike, I've started looking at the DZR400 as a bit of a hack. Enough grunt to handle the odd twisty ride, more than enough to deal with the commute. Upright for traffic, and a narrow bike.

As a bonus, I've just discovered that I can get Fully Comp insurance for £82/year on one!! It's also the cheaper tax bracket IIRC. So I'm considering buying one & then I can work on the SV (it does need it) whilst running around on the hack.

So, I know a few .Org'ers have 'em. What are they like to run? What are the like for home maintenance (bare in mind I'm pretty comfortable doing most things on the SV).

Fuel consumption on a properly sorted one is apparently 70mpg, which is damn good. Anyone actually get close to this?

Rough cost of consumables (tyres, chains, sprockets etc)?

Whatever I do, I'll probably have to wait until the workshop is built...

EDIT: Thanks to krhall, as I've just been reading your thread on thumpertalk.
