Default Strange smell

Hi again.

Ive got a strange smell. However the one thats worrying me is comming from the bike. After starting it and getting to some traffic lights i get a whiff of something. Its like a fishy type smell i think. Everything works fine and im wondering if its just something burning off the engine casing or something.

Any ideas?

Have you been out in the rain and not washed the bike afterwards, sometimes a wet bike will give off a funny smell similarlyl a dirty one will also give off a funny smell as the dirt burns off.

As long as it doesnt smell oily or of petrol then IMHO you dont have anything to worry about.

Sprayed any WD40 on anything and its got on the downpipes? Leaking oil maybe?

Although, I really think its just all the crud

Smells....aweful, dont it. Nearly made me puke the first time I got a big wiff of it, sitting at the traffic lights near Kew Gardens. ewww

Little oil leaks aren't too catastrophic, it's burning wiring smell that you should worry about

If it smells sweet then it could be the fluid from the rad, I notice a sweet smell that was caused by a small leak I had. Fixed it with that pore in rad repair stuff.
