Default SV650 Renthal Bars

Hey guys, first post! woo!

I've recently got a naked '07 SV, looking to put some renthal bars on it.

Just wondering if I need to get any particular ones ( I was looking at the streetfighter braced onces) to allow enough slack in the speedo cables etc?

This forum rocks btw =D

Chris!

Welcome to the site. I dont think you'll be too disappointed.

Renthal bars. There are so many different variations you can choose from.

I had the Ultra lows fitted to mine. You can fit these without any need to modify or replace the cables. Go to the Renthal website, they give the exact measurements of each type of bars they sell. You can work out from there which will suit you best.

Normally have to be cut to length required. Not a hard job cos you just cut the same width as the standard bars that you remove.

My tip - Make sure you drill the switch locating hole in the bars, it stops the switchgear from rotating around the bar.

AFAIK the ultra lows are the same as stock, I've got them on and you can reuse all standard controls.

You can file the tab off the switchgear instead of drilling them.

You can file that tab off. But when they come loose and start moving as they can its a pain. And to drill the locating hole is a very easy job seems silly not to after all the effort to change the bars in the first place.
