Default US Election. Vote now!

If the Org was to run the American elections, who would you vote for?
Either:

Republican’ts

Old (72) war ‘hero’ John McCain imprisoned for a few years in Vietnam, told secrets and was let out (5 years afterwards) leaving a angry warmongering side. Not as idiotic as Bush, but bumbling, forgetful and incredibly uninformed. Famous in high school for being the partyboy wrestler and then never holding a real job (career politician). Famously grumpy, erratic and with a passion for fancy military toys; Baptist John wants abortion banned outright, gays not to have the same rights,

Gun toting, beauty queen Sarah Palin is up for Vice President. Born in Alaska, married to her childhood sweetheart she built a political career from her expertise in … Parent Teacher meetings. But to give her some respect, it wasn’t long before she was mayor of the fifth largest town in Alaska! (That’d be the same size as either Alcester or Abergavenny if that’s any help). She also uncovered widespread corruption in Alaska and commissioned the largest public works project in America. The only thing maybe a little contentious are her no-abortion, gay-hating, war mongering, DNA database, capital-punishment, veto-wielding, fundamentalist, creationist, totalitarian views. She did however apply for her first passport… 2 years ago; why would you want to go abroad when America has it all, ey?

Or the repluo-crats in the other corner

America’s favourite black man (he’s black enough for them, his mother was white after all) and college lecturer, Barack Obama is a little unusual in the running. Born a Muslim and with links to Saudi businessmen this Champagne-Socialist would love to hold hands with our own G Brown. It’s hard to fault this man too severely as all of his stances seems to be ‘undecided’ or ‘should be decreed by the state’. No obvious hating of any minority groups or passion for war, he even smokes! But his involvement in both politics and leadership is severely limited, and there’s no doubt he’s being propped up by a few rich men (I’d keep an eye out for Palin’s corruption busting – bikini clad – armed feminist team if I was him).

Joe Biden, Obamas sidekick has nothing to him. Never done anything special or unusual. Just another career-politician who’s been serving America for 36 years without notice. Why Obama wants one of Washington’s oldest politicians to create ‘change’ baffles me. His policies lie along the lines of Obamas ‘I don’t have an opinion’ route.

So who’s it to be? The strongly opinionated but narrow-minded Republicans, or the eerily Blairesque Obama & company?

I'll have the war hero, no inverted commas required.

Because it's the worlds most powerful job! It makes a huge bloody difference to us. I've ignored it up until now, I think the year long run up is so pointless. Now it gets interesting!

But agreed about big brother, what wastes of human life.

Republican. But I'm not at all sure that John McCain is the right candidate.

There's another problem. 50 finalists for Miss America but only 2 for President...
