Default I've joined the Brit-bike revolution

Here's some pictures of my new toy glistening in the sunshine, a 2006 plate Triumph Speed Four.

Needs a bit of "personalising" I feel, but I need to get saving first, however, one of the top things on the list is a hugger to protect the shock. I love it, and feel like I'm 7 again and it's Christmas morning.

check wear on the chain strip nearest to the front sprocket, TT6/S4s were well known to have not very good rubber and it would eat the swingarm.

Otherwise a good bike, i had the TT600 version of that, very peeky engine with not lots of midrange. Sounds way better with a race can on it. Brakes are very very good.

Just a note do not start the bike with the throttle turned as the ECU gets confused and somtimes uses the open position as what it thinks should be closed.

Cheers, I'd noted the chain situation, do you know if a bigger front sprocket makes any difference? I'll take heed of your pointer about starting the bike too, wouldn't want the bike revving it's nuts off when I get up early morning for work commute

As for race can, I've got my eye on a Beowulf can as they sound nice, well priced, and lifetime guarantee. At current, the can on it isn't "standard" though, it's been cut shorter and has been de-baffled and put back together (by my brother, who's also got a Speed4) so sounds pretty fruity

Based on the year of yr bike it should be fitted with the correct config 15/45, but somtimes when people change them they are given the 14/42 config instead. The early TT600/S4 were specked with the 14/42 but later changed to 15/45 but was not retroactivly applied, but is recomended to always go with 15/45 for all TT600/S4 variants, also there is a newer part number for the chain strip that is made of harder rubber, but dont know if that was fitted to the later bikes.

Went Saturday morning, I will have been on way home Friday. Shame to see the back of the SV, but I wasn't sad for long after a blast on the new bike

Very nice machine, a mate of mine in Cleckheaton has one in the same colour, and the similarity to my naked yellow curvy is quite striking when parked together........
