Default suzuki cowl issue

seriously, can anyone these days make stuff for bike's that actually fit! latest heartbreak is my seat cowl. whats up with the massive gap all around? took of the rubber stoppers which helped at the tail end but at the seat end there is still a good inch gap. enough to see in under the bloody thing. aaarhg, any suggestions?

They are stupidly cheap and therefore a crap fit unfortunately.

You can play about as much as you like but it doesnt do a whole lot, I spent a couple of hours once spacing different things out and got my to look OK, but its more hassle than its worth.

guess what the answer is........????

Put the rubber stoppers back in, they are there for a reason, they stop it rattling around, then go and buy a roll of cheap draft excluder tape ( the squshy foam stuff for windows) Tape it to the underneath side of the rim of your cowl. No rattle, stops the rain getting through. Oh and no, it doesn't hide the gap but god its not that bad!
I thought I were anal about stuff like that, you must be the only one thats complained on here about it that I've seen

don't look so bad from here...

I don't know how they mount on a curvy, but that looks more like it's resting on top rather than clipped in....

that ain't right, it really does look like its sat on top!
Obviously you don't have a grabrail or rack, but even when they are off there is only a small space where the mounts should be, some folk get saddle shutters to put in the place of the mounts.
Thats really wierd.
Perhaps they've sent you one thats for a different bike...or your toolkit is immense
