I posted some of these images a few years back. Try some static images if you can't see this, but its a newer better version.....
Honestly, if you really think about it, we're nothing. Its quite scarey really. You look at the stars, yeah theres quite a few. Now theres a LOT more up there, and thats just in our galaxy. The galaxy is that "cloud" like looking group of millions of stars like our own. Maybe even into billions of stars, just in our milky way..... Then look outside our system, to find billions and billions of other galaxies, each of which will have billions of stars... Starting to get the picture??? We really are nothing. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ironically we think of "aliens" as being the same size as us, made or organic material... But whats to say they arn't hundreds of feet tall? Or lifeforms made of a gas n such.... Makes you think....?? Fantastic web site, showing highly details universe shots, from Hubble, space station etc... Showing a mear few of the billions of other galaxies in the universe. Humans suck, we need to get out there... http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/archivepix.html Last edited by Daimo; 24-10-08 at 08:46 AM. |
