Default Home networking question

Im about to run wiring for my home network and I see there are lots of choices for the wall plugs. I just want one plug which I can wire CAT5 cable to but Im not sure what wall sockets to get. Should it be RJ45? Like here http://www.ebuyer.com/product/33916 cheers.

yes, RJ45 is correct for CAT5.

Get a good quality crimper to make your connections.
Money you save on that will be spent buying aspirin.

if hees using wallplates then he does not need one, just a punchdown tool, a simple plastic one will be fine if you are only doing a couple (even a thin screw driver will work to push the cables down), just buy the pre crimped cables with boot protectors so when you pull the wire through a tangle it does not brake the plug.

Just as a thought though, since you are wiring it just once and hopefully never again. Wouldn't it be worth it using CAT6 and be a bit more future proof?
