Default gsxr front

hey guys,

I need to sort my headstock bearings and my front wheel bearings and my front brake discs.

how would i identify what disks i have?

how would i identify what headstock bearings?

how would i identify what year gsxr my front end is off?

I am a bit clueless as i bought the bike with the setup already on. all i know is that my brake disks are not standard sv ones as they are different to my mates. Am i right to assume they are off a gsxr 750?

any help identifying parts would be greatly appreciated

The front end is off of a GSXR 750 SRAD (1996-1999), I have the same front end on my 800. The discs look like OEM (Suzuki) ones or either EBC, I haven't seen a set of EBC ones for a while so couldn't identify them 100%.

If you remove the top steering stem bolt and take a picture of the stem I will be able to confirm if it is a SRAD steering stem or a stock SV one with a shim. I am guessing it is a shimmed up SV stem, this means you can use ordinary SV headrace bearings but I will need to see a better picture to confirm.

PS. I have seen this bike on here before with similar questions being asked....

Having looked closer at this picture....

You have the SV steering stem rather than the GSXR one, this means the bearings you need are SV ones only.

My 800....

this might be a silly question but if i remove the steering stem bolt will the whole front end come loose?

if you really mean the bolt/stem then yes it will just slide of if your talking about the big silver nut at the top then no it wont all just fall apart.

If you remove the top one only, like my first picture (don't worry about removing the top yoke), you won't have any problems. Do not go any further!

Yeap, GSXR SRAD to K2 and they are the 32omm ones. Also the same ones fitted to the TL1000S, TL1000R and the Hayabusa.

As long as he doesn't have radial brakes on his Busa you will be fine, simply measure the diameter (you need 320mm).
