Default Can Plug Leads be Changed

Hi All.

I think my plug leads are breaking down. The bikes not been to happy the last few mornings until it is fully warmed up.

Is it possible to change just the leads or do you have to change each leads/coil as a whole unit?

I have a K3 S model.

Thanks
Tim.

you can change the HT leads. I recently swapped mine. Got a length or two from Halfrauds ..orange with graphite core in them. You just chop the connectors off that come attached to them ..really cheap, about 4 quid IIRC

Thank's for that.

How do you remove the plug cap from the existing lead without damaging anything and how do you remove the lead from the coil?

Are special crimp connections needed on the ends of the new lead to fit it to the coil and refit the plug cap?

Thank you.
Tim.

Sounds more like a choke or cold start problem if it runs ok when warmed up.Dont know much about the FI bikes, but isnt there a cold start sensor that richens the mixture until it gets warm?

It happens about 40 seconds after start-up. The fast idle seems to be OK. After I ride off I have to stop at the end of the road. As I pull away it coughs and splutters and then cuts out. It then takes a few attempts to re-start the bike and it misfires for a few seconds.
