Sorry to ask, as i think this has been asked loads of times, but i am thinking of getting a tail tidy and wanted to know which one to go for.
I want one which when fitted will pass the MOT without any modification from myself, ie fitting a number plate light. Not to sure if i want to keep the standard indicators or fit mini's, will this matter to which tail tidy? Are they easy to fit for a novice like myself, by the way i have a k6. If you have any photos could you post some so i know what they look like fitted. Thanks and sorry again for asking ![]() |

Bought and fitted the Hamicad . Easy to fit and uses all the original equipment . I think the only MOT issue is the reflector a sticky one does the job I will worry about that when the time comes . There are a couple of gaps around the corner of the undertray when its fitted they are bit annoying but all in all I was pleased with it .

Most a MOT friendly as they retain or come with a numberplate light, the only issue is a reflector. I used a small 10p size stick on reflector I got from a bicycle shop, does the trick perfectly.

Hamicad here too. Sorry.
Great finish. Great service. Still mint. I just unscrewed the reflector from the original abomination and stuck it on the bottom of my legal numberplate when its MOT time. It keeps the OE light and you can use the standard winkers. Sorry. ![]() ![]() |

I also fitted a Hamicad. Main reason I went for it was because of the angle at which it held the number plate - a lot of the others looked too vertical, whereas the Hamicad is much more aligned to the curve of the wheel... if that makes sense!!

I have the Hamicad fitted but actually prefer the look of the Evotech one.
On my old K3 naked I had a stainless steel one I picked up cheap off ebay and that was wonderful. Fitted up fine and looked great Hamicad ![]() Ebay cheapie ![]() Last edited by Lozzo; 03-12-08 at 10:12 AM. |
