Default please help - just fallen off.....need your wisdom

SV650s K8 (full faired)

Just fell off on the ice. Only doing around 10-15mph. Other than a sore shoulder ok. Bike not so good. Initial damage looks like: Smashed indicator, Badly scrathced middle panel on fairing, bar end damaged, rear brake pedal all twisted.

The bike wont start, display shows "check Oil"

Questions: How much to sort this out..?
Best place to source the parts?
anything else I should check for?

Many thanks!!!!!!!!

Check the kill switch! I spent 20 mins cursing and swearing at my sv after an off and it was the kill switch.

Other than that, make sure the bike is in neutral, and all the usual stuff. Other than that, i cant help. Make sure thier is oil in there and you havent cracked the sump or anything like that.

Sorry to hear about your off.

As for parts. Local Suzuki Dealer, or www.Sparesdirect.co.uk or a breakers or ebay/on here.

Sorry to hear about your off.

Indy, bar end and lever all easy to source I imagine but the fairing panel may be a different story.

Have you got crash bungs fitted?

Love the avatar haven't seen the Aphex twin in ages!

As for the off, ebay for the brake pedal, lever and indicator, ignore the bar end if its scuffed, the fairing if its just a big scratch. You may be able to find one of those n ebay too. Just check you haven't damaged anything else and all is straight. When I fell off I found my new set of forks were scuffed..grrrrr, but oh dear I'll just have to strip them and polish them up. It took me ages to ignore the scars on my bike, and about 4 days to get it back on the road after waiting for the gear lever to arrive. And I even gaffered the indicator back up after i fit a new bulb! The fairing panel is taped up because of the big split down it, but i'm taking that t be repaired after xmas...theres no curvy black fairings on ebay..and those that are are in worse nick than mine Black curvy parts are getting scarce

Bottom fairing, be right
indicator, tape it up, if not spares are cheap
bar end, be right
brake lever, £10 ish from hein gericke if you have one nearby
rear brake pedal heat it up, then straighten it, put a bolt or a fixer peg in it if needs be.
...........(sore shoulder) Whiskey
Pretty cheap crash all in all then when the painkillers for the shoulder is going to cost more than repairs

sounds like the perfect time to get rid of the massive standard indies and get some nice sleek mini ones! rear pedal www.wemoto.com for one of their folding type ones (don't break so easy if you have another off), front brake lever can be got from the same place i think, fairing lower probably from a dealer (unless k8 ones are same in coulour and fit as k7 or earlier then ebay).
