Cold is a battery killer, but for it not to start the battery must be on its way out,or a charging problem.

the bike wasent even covered in ice this morning but the rest of the road was lol, last week didnt have any problems just this morning.

i do hope its not the battery as thats not even made a year from it only got the batt in april.

that leaves to a charging fault. will have to get a volt meter on it tonight and see what the silly thing is playing at.

happened to me on Saturday. First day off in ages, no ice or damp & sunny sky plus prolonged satisfaction of putting on leathers etc before ride eventually resulted in me getting the right hump and stomping round like a kid.

Bought a jumper kit - wonder if new battery and trickle would have been better investment.....

you don't need to take the seat off. Put red croc on starter motor bolt(under rubber boot left side looking at bike from front wheel)
black on a big bolt on frame. Turn ignition on, turn pack on..et voila jumped

You could just take the right side saddle shutter off and just it from there, its only one bolt then.
