I know the fact most big bikes have Fuel lights is just acceptable, but there is something to be said for just having a fuel guage!
owning a dt125r that doesnt even have a fuel light got me used to watching my tripometer n judgin it by that, but i do like the fact my mates Fazer600 etc has a fuel guage (as unreliable as it is haha) im guessin thers no way to fit a custom fuel guage to a k1 curvy? lol |

Out of choice I prefer a reserve tap or switch.

haha yeh my dt12r has a reserve switch but still i hate the way if u do run out of ur normal tank it bogs down and dies at the side of the road till u switch the reserve on.
I can see the appeal of a tailgunner btw but not my cup of tea :P hope u get one tho theyr funny lookin haha dont think the sv has a switch at all! just a fuel light |

not so with my new bike, it'll do around 50 miles to a tank, then you run out, no reserve, no warning... good thing it only weighs 100kg or so ![]()

![]() With a curvy you get a flashing light for about 30 miles then a solid light for the next 10 ish. Plus there are two trips so I always reset one at every fill up. I've clocked up quite a few miles on my SV's and never run out of gas. |
