Hi
I have a 02 650s, and I can't seem to find 1st, 2nd and somestimes 3rd gear when I change down at low revs. However, at high revs everythings seems to be okay! Does anyone have a clue what is going on with my bike? Cheers |

Check: chain tension, chain lubrication (if its dirty, clean it with parrafin and then lubricate with something like Wurth or silkolene messy stuff or something), check your engine oil level, check and adjust the clutch (you will need to take off the plastic cover to reveal the front sprocket and clutch worm drive mechanism - there is a post by sid squid on how to do the worm drive adjustment. Simply adjusting the cable is not enough to properly adjust the clutch!)
Also, lubricate the gear change shaft Cheers, Matt |

First check the gear lever and linkage isn't slack, then check the chain tension is set up correctly (20-30mm)
