No, not the forks alone.

Although the entire front end will go on, quite easily in fact - they even share the same size bearings - and be a much better option than trendy USD GSXR forks as they're a better length. Would need a speedo workaround like the usual F/E swaps.

GSXR USDs are shorter - by quite a degree - than std forks. SV1000 forks are rather closer to the original length.

okay. GSXR's being more common too i guess helps for getting hold of bits.

Yup. Also, maybe worth mentioning that with the 120/70 front tyre the front ride height difference isn't very great at all, and certainly not problematic in my experience (I had my SV's nose lowered anyway, I think that with the GSXR front end and the taller tyre I've ended up with almost the same front ride height).

IMO the shorter forks is not a bad thing.

I have no idea what internals the SV1k uses, but they are almost certainly a cartridge setup. And it doesn't take much to be an improvement over stock!

As for GSXR parts being more common... most of it is interchangeable anyway with various years.

They're from a GSXR-750 IIRC, but I cant remember the exact model year.

No surprise there. Perhaps the showa units from the SRAD, or maybe same as K1-K3 years...

The SV1k will probably be a good swap as it will keep the looks of the 650, but still be an increase in performance.

what is spring rate in stock SV1k forks?

I've read somewhere that the forks are KYB, but don't know if that's true.
