Default Excess chain oil

Anyone ever had prob's with reduced grip on the left side edge of the rear from excess oil being flung off the chain? Felt like I had a couple of little wiggles when getting it cranked over yesterday, and it got me a bit concerned about the amount of oil that gets on the edge of rear since i fitted a scottoiler. So as well as turning down the oiler I fashioned this extender from a bit of 23.5 x 43.5 x 1.5 ally from B&Q earlier today. Hoping it helps to reduce the amount of lube being flung about as it extends well past the sprocket like the OE chain guard. The hugger seems to be a bit too short to cover the chain run effectively.

Only time I had trouble with that was when I left my oiler set on prime...

If you set the oiler up right, you wont get oil on the edge of the tyre, its just trial and error with the flow rate IMHO.
