Default Should I buy another SV, or something else?

Simple really i had a sv650sk4 a couple of years ago and was forced to sell it to sort out finances for a house move. Im now in the position again to get another bike. Do i get another sv650s???? I was getting a little bit bored with it towards the end but then again i was restricted so will i notice a difference as my restriction is up? Im guessing it will feel exciting just getting back on a bike again after 2 years. Or should i just look at something else?? I should prob expect a few bias comments lol.

Cheers

My advice is to get out there & test ride a few different bikes.

See what you like & what you don't.

Depends on your budget, but you never know there are plenty of different bikes to choose from.

I reckon hit the dealers and get some test rides sorted! And don't settle for 1/2 hour test rides, it's a silly amount of time to justify 5k upwards if you do buy one.

I had a Buell 1125 for 4 hours last year, but they're one of the better brands at offering demo bikes.

If you do decide on another SV I know one for sale.
K8 in grey. Fully faired variety.
About 3000 miles
Pretty much standard (sensible owner)
He is after £3000 for it.

Without a doubt. More volume, greater go, more revs to use. Well, rather, more revs worth using...

If you were getting bored with your last SV when you sold it, I'd imagine that you would get bored quickly if you had a second SV. Try listing the things that you didn't like about the SV and list the things that you did like. Then look for a bike with all the things you liked and none of the things that you disliked.

The danger is you get an irrational objective and close down your options. Spend ages and ages on the web and at dealers looking at what you can get for your budget and what the reviews say. That's fun in itself. You will wear out initial irrational enthusiasm and reach a more considered decision.

Madness clearly isn't that mad.
