Default Adoption/Fostering

I am thinking of finding a job where I can help children find foster families/ adoptive parents etc.

Where should I start?

Does anyone have any knowledge of this job role or qualifications needed etc?

Kate x

ps - I am just starting Level 3 in Counselling if this helps!

I have contacted my local council and asked if they can point me inthe right direction!
I guess it would be classed as Social Care?

I think so. I think it would be a good role to use my counselling skills too. Just wish i had know what I wanted to do years ago. Im 25 now and only just making progress with my counselling courses.

Il find out what qualifications I need to work in social care and get on the case!

have you considered doing volunteer work with local kids charities?

I'm not sure whats down that way, but there's bound to be something, and probably all they'll ask for is your disclosure check to be paid for. And it's more than worthwhile.

Good on you.
