My heel protectors are getting quite badly scuffed and looking a bit tired now. I'm sure I read about carbon fibre covers you can get as I don't want to go down the mirror finish polishing route. Any info much appreciated.

IMO I think that CF parts are very tacky (not on all bikes, I rather like the CF parts on the Gixxers). Why not spray them with Hammerite as a cheaper/less hassle option to polishing or get them powder coated - more expensive option, but probably at the same cost of buying the CF heel plates?

Drill them out! Then you won't notice the scuffing and they look better anyway!

just polish them - i did mine today, it only took around an hour.
