Default gixer trouble

Ive found recently that my gear selector indicator on my dash isn't working properly? when i select neutral i just get a blank where it should read "0" as in no gear "neutral" if i turn my engine off when its on this blank then i cant start the fookin thing back up cus it thinks its in gear! i phoned streetbike and they say its a common fault so its booked in

thats a bit Carp.. my 675 does something similar you click into neutral and the selector still says first so it cuts out when you put the side stand down.. not really a massive issue mind just irritating

I get that as well, my 750! The garage claimed to know nothing about it, "Sounds like it's the imobiliser at fault", read this as "nothing to do with us mate". Please let me know the details so i can get it fixed under warranty as well!

the dealer "streetbike" said it would be a warranty claim as its a common fault, as i was describing the problem to him over the fone he finished my description off! so they do know about it, "gear selector switch" apparently.
