Default Curvy air filter.

Are they the same in the naked and s?

I've just ordered one for an S by mistake, though I dont think it matters.

Thanks

No difference. All carb models are the same

In standard form, Chris is correct the naked and faired airbox is exctly the same, however the difference comes not between the naked and faired versions, but between aftermarket performance ones.

For example BMC do three stages, the first is a replacement for the standard filter so air flow through the filter is about the same, but rather than throw it away when dirty, it can be cleaned.

The second is a slightly higher flow rate, for slightly larger jets and a less restrictive can.

The third is an open topped affair, for big jets and a full system.

Of course these are all rough guidence and the exhaust/jets & filter need to be balanced properly for best effect.

Cheers Mark.

Thanks guys, its just a standard filter so should be fine. I wish I'd known about the washable filter but never mind.

It only makes any sense if you do a hell of a mileage.
