I was bleeding my brakes the other day so I tied the lever to the bar over night to get rid of any air in the system. Went to check the next morning and as I was squeezing the lever I heard a crack
I thought it was maybe the adjuster wheel wasn't seated right and just clicked into place as I squeezed it. So I squeezed it again and it just snapped off ![]() Can't remember if it was a suzuki lever or aftermarket but pretty shocking! It looks like there might have been a flaw in the bottom right bit ![]() ![]() |

Find the receipt if it isn't OEM, if it is then take it to a dealer and get it replaced.

I bought some cheap a$$ ones off ebay a while ago for my race bike. I lightly bumped into my bike in the garage when I squeezed past it and the lever snapped.
Thank Christ I wasnt doing 130mph when it did that! A mate of mine actually had one snap on the approach to the hairpin on the old Anglesey circuit at close to 100mph, its a hairpin you could take at 20/30mph. He ended up in hospital with mucho broken bones for some time. Since then I've avoided cheap nasty ones like the plague, not worth the risk. Get good quality brake levers even if it costs a little extra. |

I replaced my cheap ones with some aftermarket levers on sale at my local Suzuki dealer. Not genuine Suzuki but 100 times better than the carp ones I got from ebay.
Think they cost me about £15 for the pair. |
