Default race bike on the road

Sold my zx9r road bike and am putting #86 the sv racer back on the road as it's much more fun !!

My question is what exactly is needed for a daylight MOT ??
Horn, brake-light (opperated from both brakes), tax disc, indicaters after a certain year.......then it gets confusing.

cheers lads and lasses,

I'll post pics of the progress, I should be terrorising the local round about around June time.

But if you have a brake light you need a headlight. Not sure about horn. The only place that can answer you and guarantee that it passes is your MOT guy because they will tell you their own criteria...

Aye, that would be great. I've been reading the other posts and it seems there's no right or wrong answer, It depends on the tester. i'd rather err on the side of caution cos I can't be arsed getting pulled off plod all the time. The bike will be classed as unmodified on the insurance so I need to be under the radar !
I've got the switch gear but no lights, indicators, horn....... hello ebay !!

Right the MOT man said...
The swtich thing is a myth
If you have a brakelight you need all your lights because you cant really have one but not the other.
Don't need a rear reflector if you've not got lights.

Needs a number plate
Needs a horn with a continuous tone (no claxons or mooing sounds)

There is a bike I see on my travels most mornings that looks like a race bike, it has no lights whatsoever.
