Default rear hugger question

hey

i fitted a pyramid hugger few weeks back and couldn't get it to sit straight. on the chain side its got plenty of room but on the other its only about 4 mm away from tire. i have tried to get it to sit right but it won't so my questions is - if i put a wedge of something between tire and hugger then got a hair dryer on the go to try and warm it to form - would that work?

cheers

Mine has a metal bracket on the brake side. I found that bending that a little helped with the spacing.

Metal bracket which holds the break line in. its ment to mout to that so just move it furuthur towards the engine and it should straighten things out abit.
mines still not perfect, but so close.

mine bolts down on that brake line holder, i just used washers two lift it up away from the tyre, i wouldnt advise warming it up you may end up distorting it!!

ditto

Don't worry about it being 'only 4 mm' away. mine looks even less than that IIRC and it's been fine for the past 5k miles.

Cant remember if i did this or thought about it.

Small file and elongate the holes that go on the chain side so you can even things out abit more (dont think it would harm the structure to much, or would it? ). i definatly however got rid of those crappy plastic washers and replaced with nice stainless steal for about 50p.
