Unhappy Front Engine Block Crack - What can I do now?

Now, with all the £££ spent on repairing the bike, and the wonderful help from Viney in putting the bike back together again, I have found that there is crack in the front of the engine block, which is leaking oil.

Much to my disappoint is this worthy of repair, and if how roughly how much? or do I now need to admit defeat and dismantel the bike to sell the spares...

Please see picture of crack, and gasket seal ripped.

Ah, so am I looking at £££ to replace that part then? Just found the part on Alpha-Sports and it's priced at $102.00 so that'll be the same in £GBP.

Great !!!

I have a couple of cam covers if you need to buy one.
Just replaced my engine over the weekend.

While trying to find this item, any chance of temporarily using a sealant, like Plastic Padding Chemical?

From the pic in the OP. It looks like the head was struck by something (rock?) just between the mating faces of the head and rocker cover.

This cracked the cover but as TSM says the head looks in one piece.

However there does seem to be an indentation on the head from the impact. This looks like it has pushed some of the metal up to form a "lip"/ ridge at the sealing face for the gasket. If this is the case you may have to get the top of the head filed / machined to remove the ridge so that the gasket will seal properly.

I had the same issue in a similar crash think I paid £15 for a new cam cover courtesy of the forum grease monkey. They can be chemical metal repaired infact I've still got my old one if you wanna try it.
Just hope that's only a chip in the cylinder block(which it looks like)
