At last!
I got my sv from the garage after a load of hassle over paperwork and delays from the insurance company, but at last. Bit of a downer though cos i cant ride it due to having to goto work and its going to **** it down later ![]() ![]() However I did get a very short ride from the garage to home. First impressions, well its very different from the riding style on the er6f. Lot more forward and its going to take some getting used to for me but its good fun. My only other issue is i'm breaking it in and i cant get above 5,500 revs and the sodding thing just gets to those revs in record times. I'm forever playing with the gears and its slow due to this. I'm not labouring the engine though cruising at about 4000rpm (would other owners recommend this for cruising speeds as i cruise my er6f on 4000rpm too). At the end of the day though its a new bike I'm liking it so far and i've got a smile from ear to ear ![]() I suppose i'm an official .orger now ! |

Well its 500miles at 5,500 revs *service* then no more than 8,200 revs until 1000miles I intend to stick to the manual. It worked for my Kwak and it should be fine on this one!

Take it easy for the 1st 100 then just ride normally (well as long as normally for you isnt redline everywhere) My K6 saw triple figures before it had 50 miles on it - well I had to check that all 3 digits of the speedo worked ![]() Enjoy and have fun ![]()

Tried to stick by the manual where possible but touched the ton before it had 20 miles on the clock.
tried to take it easy for the next 980 miles. Just get out and enjoy your bike. |
