Smile Obscure laws and rules...

to follow on from the "riding whilst drunk" thread , and some of the strange offences that can be used, i got to thinking about some of the other stange rules and laws that exist.

i'll start you off...

up until i think it was 1987 , a London cab had to have a bail of hay in the boot to feed the horse (a reg from the old hanson cab days)

Tower bridge is concidered a marine vessel, and has a captain (it was the only way Lloyds would insure it, and revolves around nautical law)

there is an arcade in Piccadilly when you can be fined for whistling

You can pee in a policeman's helmet if you're pregnant but not on the street...(something along those lines anyway....)
