Default Quickest puncture?

Following on from the fuel economy & tyre life threads
What's the soonest you've got a puncture on a new tyre?

Me today - before I even got home from the garage. So that's withing 25 miles of having the tyre fitted

I just had one fixed this morning after about 500 miles.

The guy was telling me he had a bloke had a new back tyre put on his GSXR, got a slice of metal in it after three miles! Not fixable either.....

Ooooh, bet that hurt!

You've just failed your geek test of recognising tyre treads
It is an Avon, but an AV40 not a Storm.
£5.50 to buy, £10 to fit & already repaired with Crafty Plugger
