...for those that have fitted them, what do you do with the resevoir/battery tray. I've cut a hole in the bottom of mine but the battery now sits on top of the resevoir in between a piece of plastic which makes me wonder, i recon the battery now sits an inch higher at least, but i haven't checked whether the seat will nicely yet tbh?... cheers.

You need to shave the middle lump off the seat base. I also raised the battery a few mm to clear it from the top of the resevoir. To stop the battery flopping around, II used a very heavy duty (1 cm wide) zip tie to hold it against the rear of the battery compartment.

On my curvy I just tipped the battery 90 degrees.

On my pointy I moved the entire undertray moulding, including the battery box, back approximately 10mm. Needed to shave a bit off the back end, redrill the mounting holes by the battery, and make a couple of small alloy plates for the rear mountings, but otherwise it was easy. I use a 750 SRAD shock, or one off a 600 K4 depending on road or track and they both go straight in.

I have a K3 with a higher subframe so I just removed the inch or so required for the reservoir , took out that bit of waffled plastic that sat in the bottom of the tray as well , plonked the battery back in with a bit of rubber under it and threw the bike back together , no problems in over a year of riding like that in all weathers

I moved the tray back a few mm by elongating the holes, then managed to move the battery further back by removing the plastic between the battery and the ECU.
