Default Tyres - which and where from?

Mine are trully knackared!

I wanted to get some soonish and the MOT is due at the end of July so now is the time.

I've got Conti Road attacks, I think I like them but TBH I've never had anything else so I don't know if they are any good really. They have however been on the bike for years, so anything will be better.

My main concern is wet weather grip really because I am a massive pansie at the moment and hold up the little old lady in her blue rinse Micra every time it starts dribbling..

AND..

Does anybody know somewhere near either Selhurst or Caterham that is a good place to get them fitted?

Ta

If wet weather concerns you, you want to give these babies a look.

Storm ST's, PR2's or RoadSmarts will all do the job.

Essential Rubber are just up the road from you (ok I lie, they are the other side of the river and then a bit more, but not that hard to get to from Caterham and well worth the trip) Whatever you do, DONT go to FWR.

Pilot Road 2's. Expensive but well worth it. I had RA's on before these and I must say I wouldn't get RA's again. The levels of grip and lean on PR2's are amazing IMO.

Tyres can be very much a personal preference though!

Nothing wrong with their Tyres they supply, just had a couple of stories of bad workmanship, they also take all bikes "out back" to do the work, at Essential you can watch (and learn) if you want.

Essential from you is just a case of getting North of Croydonia, round Elephant and Castle, over London Bridge, past Liverpool St, then turning left

Jambo pretty much does Purley to there each day as his commute.

My Roadsmarts were £225 fitted on the Zed - might be less on the SV - oh and if they comment on your brake pads or anything, I can pretty much guarantee the work needs done - I have not heard a single report of them making up work that didnt need to be done.

Can I suggest a different route? M25 to M3. M3 to J8. Follow signs to Micheldever Station. Ride out on new stuff and take the scenic route home.
