You could ' borrow ' space from the airbox ?

wouldnt that involve adding bits to an existing tank though ? was wondering if any tank off another bike would fit straight on, btw can you get tanks altered that way ? you know welding bits on it I mean ?

It is a very good idea mate. Suppose something like a TL tank may be a little bigger? I'm not sure though, suppose you want same fittings with hoses etc to save hassle, but also same size fittings to where it bolts in which could cause a problem.
I see plenty of bikes on custom fighters that have been remoulded/reshaped (I don't know the correct term) by the techie peoples, but I think that is mainly to fit a speedo onto the tank. |

Anything will fit with a big enough hammer
![]() Taking it you're looking at one to go touring on, then? |

I'm not aware of one that will just drop on. The TL looks similar but the frame is very different, I'd be supprised if the tank fitted, and I doubt the tank is more than a litre bigger anyway.
You could mod the tank but it's likely to be tricky as there's a lack of space below it with the airbox in place. Jambo

Sorry was just a bike I thought of the TL, I have no knowledge on how easy or big it would be to put on.

you could do the old fashion endurance racing technique, cut two tanks up and make them into one bigger tank.

why would you want a bigger tank, wouldn't that just give the problem of being even more top heavy?

Curvy isn't top heavy, V twin engines carry themselves quite low.
I'd find out what jetting you need for pod filters, and fill the airbox space with fuel. Probably a gallon there or more.
