Hi to you all, just been recently converted to a '99 curvie, love the bike.
Great machine to ride one wonders what its reputation would be if it had a decent suspension set up!!! I've been reading the forum for a bit and realise this seems to be the bikes weakest spot and after my last bike a GSXR750 I won't disagree ![]() Anyway riding her is a blast a mix of going to work and fun but I have a really weird problem (apart from the odd noise or two she sometimes makes) When I put the offside indicator on and pull the front brake it flashes quicker and the headlights go brighter or some times flash!!! not something I've encountered before ![]() Thanks |

Might also be that the Reg/Rec is dying, have you had any bulbs popped?

Might be wise to get all the plastics off and check all the connectors |

Exposed / rubbing wiring is a useful first point to check. Where the loom can rub on the rider's seat bolts, as well as along the rear subframe, you can work through the insulation and get a short. Around the headstock is also an old favorite.

Good evening.
Check for corrosion on the multi plugs from the switches into the main loom. Cheers. |

Yep, high resistance in the plugs is as common cause of gremlins as earth problems. It wouldn't hurt to go through all of the plugs with a can of electrical contact cleaner.
