Default Racing @ Anglesey 1-2 August

Hi all,

A two day race meet coming up with the Wirral 100 club at Anglesey. Should be a good one with national Formula 2 sidecars and the national Suzuki GSXR trophy races mixed in with the normal club racing events, Minitwins, Formula 400, power bikes, Formula 600 etc

Its normally a great weekend, stunning scenery, superb photo opportunities and a good laugh.

Plenty of camping space around the paddock.

Everyone welcome.

I'm actually off work for this one. I might pop down & do a bit of Camping. Think a friend of mine will be racing there, so happy days

no worries, there'll be others. There is a meet at Oulton later this year and another 2 day Anglesey meeting. Will come back with the dates for those.

I have got a race meet in September at Wigan &, if I can afford it, I might just have a go at the Oulton Meet in October

Just for information as a few people have asked me....

The circuit website is here. Directions and address etc are on there.

Anglesey has had some major development lately, the new circuit has been operating for two years and is superb, excellent racing with some brilliant spectator vantage points.

Camping is typically free although you will be charged an entry fee for the circuit (£12 for each day or £15 for the weekend). There are toilets on site along with a bar serving food etc. It is a little exposed (think Philip Island) so if the weather isnt in our favour it can get pretty wet and windy (but some interesting race tactics )

Weather info available here

The circuit will be open to arrive on Friday evening, I normally get there the night before racing to get setup and settled. Practice normally starts 10am on race day (Saturday in this case) and racing about an hour after that.

I'll happily take a handful of disposable barbecues if anybody needs one although there are burger vans etc around the paddock. Some good pubs locally for evening meals too that I can recommend.

Other than that, I have a van etc if you want anything storing (apart from bikes that is ).

If you need any further information give me a shout.

Mike
