If you took the T5's front wheel the speedo drive is mechanical so that'd work, idiot lights wouldn't be a problem, not sure about temp gauge, but shouldn't be to hard, can't remember where rev counter comes off of, but as it's electrical I'm sure something could be worked out, in short yes the instrument could be made to work, however they are a very different shape (big triangular thing) so actually fitting the unit would be an issue.

The forks, well as I said I have a set not 4 feet from me, but don't have a vernier or tape to measure them here, so that'll have to wait for now.

Cheers Mark.

595 forks are not regarded as being that great, they are better than the SV's but there are still better ones out there.

nothing like a generalization to get things rolling is there, whilst they aren't " the best money can buy" neither are GSXR/CBR/R1 stanchions either, whether they would work on an SV, I've on idea, but for the bike they were intended they work very well, not something Triumph owners are rushing out to change anyway.

After over 600,000 road miles on them I'm well happy and for road suspension the Showa setup Triumph specify, is pretty close to ideal for the roads over here, but then I'm relying on experience rather than opinion

Cheers Mark.

I have seen a few people switch them for GSXR forks but this is more for the "look at the shiny-shiny" effect.

I would not bother, I would use SRAD ones because there are more around, unless it is cheap.

But to actually fit the forks, there will be a way without much hassle. Anyone know what bearing numbers are in t5?

Thing is, the GSXR swaps are so easy, and the parts pretty decent and easily found, it's pretty hard to justify anything else.

Are parts near you? I could come have a look and measure up.

If you can get them for a good price then buy them, but consider that they may need new springs and oil to suit you weight (possibly a revalve too).

OP stated T595, the T955 ones were revalved amd resprung and these are the ones nobody wants to swap.
