Okay, I had a little slip resulting in an unplanned tarmac, motorcycle and rider interface on Sunday night.
Heading back into North London on Sunday night, from Hackney, through Dalston... there's a division from the classic route crossing the Kingsland Road. At the railway bridge the road turns sharp left, then right, and is one-way. I was filtering past traffic, got close to the top of the brow of the bridge, and saw the gravel all over the right side of the road - by which time it was really too late, and it all went down on the left side. Footpeg and handlebar took most of the impact, mirror smashed, and a couple of scrapes on the tank and front mudguard. I seem to have splashed a bit of fork oil too. ![]() I'm rather bruised, too most of the impact on my left shoulder which is now very sore. Bit of a bruise on my left thigh, and I'll be needing a new helmet at some point soon. So do I qualify for the Crashy McGee? ![]()

Woohoo I manage to miss the T-shirt thanks to someone else again !!!.
(and I know where you are talking about - went the other direction to Essential yesterday) Glad you are not too badly hurt and the bike sounds not too bad - surely if the gravel was related to the roadworks you have some come-back on someone.

Sorry to hear that Bill, hope it doesn't keep you off the bike to long mate.
Sounds like a relatively easy fix for the bike anyway. Cheers Mark.

Oh dear, hope it's not all too sore Billy.
I know the bit you are talking about, I went that way yesterday to Essential Rubber, and thought that it was a bit slippy on the one-way zig-zag over the bridge. GWS Jo |
